Due to the importance to many PIA members and their clients of issues related to crop insurance, the PIA National Executive Committee has voted unanimously to form a Crop Insurance Working Group. This working group will report to the PIA National Federal Affairs Committee.

Members of the PIA National Crop Insurance Working Group are: Dan Weber (Chairman), PIA of North Dakota National Director; Kent Olson, Immediate Past Executive Vice President of PIA of North Dakota; Sue Peachey of PIA of Kansas; Fred Cole of PIA of Minnesota; Larry McGillis, former National Director of PIA of North Dakota; and Mark Suhr, President of PIA of Nebraska and Iowa. PIA National Secretary/Assistant Treasurer Fred Thomas of PIA of Montana is executive liaison.

“Crop insurance is an important insurance product sold by many PIA agents throughout the country,” said PIA National President Kenneth R. Auerbach, Esq. “Elevating crop issues in the structure of PIA’s policy committees restores them to their rightful place in our association, and will offer us new opportunities to grow PIA membership. I would especially like to thank Rob Hansen, past president of PIA of Nebraska, for encouraging us to undertake this initiative.”
